According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool playmaker Joao Teixeira will be given the opportunity to impress during pre-season.
Teixeira, 22, is currently on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion, and his impressive displays at the Amex Stadium have earned rave reviews.
With six goals and three assists for the Seagulls this season, Teixeira's loan deal is having its desired effect; helping him develop through first team football.
The playmaker arrived from Sporting Lisbon back in 2012, but has made just one appearance for Liverpool, and even had an uneventful loan spell at Brentford last season.
A Portugal Under-21 international, Teixeira is still something of a hot prospect despite recently turning 22, and whilst there is plenty of competition at Liverpool, it seems he will get his chance to shine.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Adam Lallana at his disposal, but the Liverpool Echo believe Teixeira will be given the opportunity to impress Rodgers during Liverpool's summer pre-season tour in Australia.
With just over one year remaining on his contract at Anfield, it could be now or never for Teixeira, and he needs to grasp his opportunity when it arrives.
