Modou Barrow is reportedly close to joining Nottingham Forest on loan from Swansea City for the rest of the season.

Swansea City attacker Modou Barrow has been spotted at the City Ground, as a move to Nottingham Forest reportedly draws near.

Earlier this week, BBC Sport reported that Championship outfit Forest are interested in signing the 22-year-old Gambian.

It was reported that Barrow would move to the Reds on loan until the end of the season, having struggled for playing time at Swansea so far this campaign.

The youngster has now been spotted at the City Ground, with football agent Miralem Jaganjac claiming that he will wear the number 19 on his back and will remain with Dougie Freedman’s team until the summer (see picture above).

Barrow moved to Premier League outfit Swansea from Ostersunds FK in the summer of 2014 and has made only seven appearances in the English top flight.

The 22-year-old has not scored a single goal and has created five chances in those games, while having a pass accuracy of 78%.

Forest are currently trying to mount a late push for the Championship playoffs, and it seems that Freedman sees Barrow as a player who could help his team do that.

The Nottingham-based outfit are currently ninth in the Championship table with 53 points from 36 matches, nine points behind sixth-placed Brentford.
