The Belgian has endured a mixed season at Everton but has, on the European stage, produced consistently for Roberto Martinez's team.
And Thursday night's clash with Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev was no exception, with Lukaku scoring a penalty to secure a 2-1 first-leg win for the Toffees.
But it was his role in the build-up to Everton's first goal - netted by Steven Naismith - that impressed a certain Sky Sports pundit and Tottenham defender.
Indeed, former Liverpool man Jamie Carragher heaped praise on Lukaku's 'brilliant bullying' of opposition defenders.

Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen, meanwhile, had a simpler message for the Everton striker on Twitter - his team-mate for the Belgian national side.
The Spurs defender simply tweeted the following after seeing the Toffees' equaliser:

It is back to domestic duties for Everton this weekend, however - an area in which Martinez's men have enjoyed considerably less success than in Europe this season.
Sunday afternoon sees Everton face Newcastle United in the Premier League, although they have the bonus of that clash being played out at Goodison Park, just as the Kiev game was.
Vertonghen, meanwhile, will be traveling to Old Trafford as Tottenham take on Manchester United simultaneously.
