Tottenham round-up, Rose's international decision, potential bidding war for defender

A selection of the stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Thursday evening.

Tottenham left-back Danny Rose will wait until the next England squad announcement before he makes a decision on who to represent at the senior level of international football

The London Evening Standard reports he has received an offer from Jamaica but will await the announcement from Roy Hodgson before paying full attention to the invite.

Given the injuries to current England left-backs, there is a reasonable chance he may be selected for the Three Lions.

It has been reported in recent weeks that Spurs are in pursuit of Toby Alderweireld, who is currently playing for Southampton, on loan from La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.

The Daily Mail confirms that both Spurs and Manchester City are interested in the Belgium international but the Saints have a £6.8 million clause to buy the player.

However, it's said Atletico Madrid can pay £1.5 million in order to try and sell to the highest bidder.
