Redfearn injury update

Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has confirmed that Liam Cooper will be available for Saturday's match against Nottingham Forest at his press conference earlier today.

Cooper had picked up an injury in training, but it appears to have only been a minor problem, whilst Rodolph Austin and Sam Byram are continuing to be assessed.

Semedo injury update

Sheffield Wednesday star Jose Semedo is likely to be on the sidelines for a considerable amount of time, according to Stuart Gray.

Gray says that the central midfielder is struggling to put any pressure on his foot and it could be a while yet before he is available for selection.

“Jose [Semedo] is struggling to put weight on his foot so it sounds like it’s going to be weeks rather than days," Gray told the Sheffield Star

Clough on promotion fight

Nigel Clough admits that Sheffield United are unlikely to make it into the top two after their poor form recently.

The Blades' defeats to Peterborough United and Fleetwood Town have dented their automatic promotion hopes and Clough says that it is now unlikely they will be able to catch either Bristol City or Preston North End.

“I can’t see Bristol City slipping up now, so I think they’re gone, and Preston won all their games in February so they’ll be very difficult to catch, too," he said to the Sheffield Star

“That doesn’t mean we’ll stop trying, and you can always make ground up, but they’d have to have a serious slip-up now and that’s very unlikely."
