Former Aston Villa and Everton forward Andy Gray explained to talkSPORT earlier this week what he likes about Tottenham in relation to the top four race.
Tottenham are well in the hunt for a spot in the Champions League looking ahead to next season and Gray feels Spurs have reacted in the best possible way after losing the League Cup final against Chelsea.
“I like Spurs, I thought their response to losing the final has been great, two games in quick succession and six points out of six,” said Gray.
“I think that was terrific and it shows that he's got them going Pochettino and he's kept them there, so I think they definitely could be there.”
It was always going to be a huge mental test for Spurs to react positively after that defeat against Chelsea at Wembley.
However, the boss seems to have stressed the importance of a position in the top four and Spurs are by no means out of the race.
They face a big test against Manchester United this weekend, but if they can secure three points in that game, they’ll go level with Louis van Gaal’s side on points.
Tottenham have form and momentum, which can be the difference towards the end of a season. If Spurs are perfect and get the better of sides in their perceived difficult fixtures, other teams will drop points.
The Champions League creates a variety of exciting opportunities and possibilities for Tottenham, they just need to make sure they pull it off.
