The Queens Park Rangers midfielder is nearing the final stage of his rehabilitation.
The Argentine has been incredibly unlucky with injuries in the last few years, suffering yet another Anterior Cruciate Ligament tear earlier this campaign.
For six months thereafter, Faurlin has been in rehabilitation and has had to watch on - no doubt in frustration - as his QPR side battle it out at the bottom end of the Premier League without him.
Faurlin, however, today took to Twitter with a very encouraging injury update.
Little update everyone, enjoy the rest of the day! pic.twitter.com/bcbC1BCHwZ— Alejandro Faurlin (@alefaurlin) March 12, 2015
The fact the Argentine is mentally and physically ready to return to QPR for the final stage of his rehab will undoubtedly provide a big boost for the club and fans alike.
It means that, whether the R's stay up or go down, they will hopefully have a virtual new signing ready for next campaign.
Faurlin, though, will have to be more careful than he ever has, as a similar situation has presented itself in the past for the 28-year-old. His injury luck has been simply horrendous and both he and QPR deserve a full season without him being plagued by problems next term.
