Arsenal's Brazilian wide-man has been praising some of his Gunners teammates from afar.

Arsenal’s Brazilian wide-man Wellington Silva has revealed which Arsenal player he has been most impressed with in an exclusive interview with Sambafoot.com.

The news may surprise those who have watched in awe as summer signing Alexis Sanchez has performed brilliantly week in, week out for the Gunners. But it is not the Chilean international who has really caught Silva’s eye; it is a wonderfully-gifted Spaniard.

“I did not have much training with the professional team but the player who most impressed me is (Santi) Cazorla,” Silva said.

He added that Mesut Ozil is “an excellent player” while he said both Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have also impressed him although he is yet to train with either.

Of the latter pair, the 22-year-old who is currently on loan at Almeria said, “They have characteristics similar to mine: speed and technicality. I hope when I get back they also help me.”

The Brazilian will remain in La Liga until the end of the season, at which point his loan spell ends and he has the chance to fight his way into the Arsenal first-team.

He is yet to make his debut for the club and will be well aware of the competition for places, but the player who cost a reported £3.5million back in 2010 will want to show Arsenal’s fans that he is worth the outlay.

Only time will tell but if he is half the player as those he so admires, Arsenal could be on to another winner.
