David Luiz scored as Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League on away goals.
The Blues led twice against PSG who played most of the match plus extra time with 10 men after star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off.
It was Luiz's central defensive partner Thiago Silva who scored the decisive goal, cancelling out Eden Hazard's penalty. The game ended 2-2 on the night and 3-3 on aggregate, with PSG progressing to the quarter-finals.
England international captain Wayne Rooney was watching the game, and went onto praise Laurent Blanc's side.
That is one of the best performances I've ever seen with 10 men from psg— Wayne Rooney (@WayneRooney) March 11, 2015
The Manchester United star was in tune with many viewers, with it hard to begrudge victory for PSG, who came agonisingly close to knocking Chelsea out last season.
Jose Mourinho's side will have to go back to the drawing board, having been so dominant in the Premier League, they lacked intensity and a cutting edge in attack, having to rely on a goal from defender Gary Cahill and a penalty for their two goals. For a home side with the talent at their disposal, so much more was expected.
