The first leg in Paris last month had ended in a 1-1 draw, which means that tonight’s clash at Stamford Bridge is going to settle the tie.
Chelsea headed into the game as favourites, largely because they are at home and need just a goalless draw to progress to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
The second leg is goalless at the moment, but the advantage is all Chelsea’s for the rest of the encounter.
That’s because PSG will have to play the second half at the Bridge with just 10 men, having seen star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off in the first period.
The 33-year-old Sweden international striker was shown a straight red just past the half-hour mark for a challenge on Chelsea midfielder Oscar.
It was a controversial decision from the referee, as television replays showed that it was worthy of at most a yellow card.
The referee’s decision did not go down well with current and former footballers on Twitter. Below are the best reactions:
Watching Chelsea-PSG. Incompetent referee. Sending off of Ibrahimovic amateur decision. Game becoming a farce.— osvaldo ardiles (@osvaldooardiles) March 11, 2015

Never a Red Card. Once again, the reaction of the Chelsea players is shocking. That type of thing influences games... http://t.co/IDqq9wZ2Ni— michael owen (@themichaelowen) March 11, 2015
I don't know if that should of been a red card. I don't think so. What you think?— José enrique (@Jesanchez3) March 11, 2015
Never should have been a red card for Ibrahimovic. Yellow at the most. Big break for Chelsea.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) March 11, 2015
Gamemanship ofChelsea players embarrassing in the sendingoff of Ibrahimovic. Why such a wonderful collection of players do this I don't know— osvaldo ardiles (@osvaldooardiles) March 11, 2015
