Tottenham legend and Owen slam Chelsea players; Chris Dawson comments on dismissal

Two Tottenham Hotspur legends, Leeds United, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Derby County stars react to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s dismissal against Chelsea.

The Champions League last-16 tie between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain took a twist in the second leg this evening.

The first leg in Paris last month had ended in a 1-1 draw, which means that tonight’s clash at Stamford Bridge is going to settle the tie.

Chelsea headed into the game as favourites, largely because they are at home and need just a goalless draw to progress to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.

The second leg is goalless at the moment, but the advantage is all Chelsea’s for the rest of the encounter.

That’s because PSG will have to play the second half at the Bridge with just 10 men, having seen star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off in the first period.

The 33-year-old Sweden international striker was shown a straight red just past the half-hour mark for a challenge on Chelsea midfielder Oscar.

It was a controversial decision from the referee, as television replays showed that it was worthy of at most a yellow card.

The referee’s decision did not go down well with current and former footballers on Twitter. Below are the best reactions:
