The England international's career at Anfield appears to be coming to an end.
The future of Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is up in the air at the moment. The England international has struggled for form in recent months and with his contract expiring at the end of the current season, he could leave the club on a free transfer this summer.
It means that he can even start to negotiate for a move with foreign clubs, should he decide a switch abroad is what he wants in his career at this point.
Now, it is being heavily reported in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are desperate to sign the player in order to alleviate their own right-back problems.
A report on Turkish Eurosport explains the ongoing process. The club currently have the likes of Emmanuel Eboue, Sabri Sarioglu and Tarik Camdal at their disposal. However the report claims that Eboue is currently training with their A2 side because of disciplinary problems while the other two are not convincing with their performances.
With that in mind, it is believed the Liverpool full-back is in fact their number one target for the summer - to help fill their problem position at right-back.
Whether Johnson wants a move to Turkey at this point in his career remains to be seen.
