According to a report from Calcio Mercato, the agent of Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza will be flying to London in the coming days for discussions with Tottenham Hotspur.
The report claims that while Juventus remain the favourites for the 23-year-old Italian international, his representatives are keen to hear what Spurs have to say.
Zaza is the latest striker to be linked with Tottenham, with their manager Mauricio Pochettino likely to dip into the transfer market for a new front-man during the close-season.
And while his return of eight goals in 20 Serie A matches this season may not set hearts racing, it is worth noting that Zaza has already scored against Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan as well as netting a brace against AS Roma in that time.
Above and below are a selection of images from those matches, showing Zaza scoring and celebrating against the great and the good of Italian football.
Back in October he scored in a 1-1 draw with reigning champions Juventus before he scored both Sassuolo’s goals in a 2-2 draw with Roma in early December.
He would later go on to score in a 2-1 victory against AC Milan before netting one and setting up another in a 3-1 victory against their city rivals Inter.
In short, the reported Tottenham target is clearly not fazed by reputations and his record goes a long way to proving why Pochettino and Daniel Levy are allegedly interested.
