Lassana Diarra appears to still be in West Ham United training, despite a proposed deal falling through last month.
Diarra had been lined up as a target in February, but the transfer collapsed due to administrative issues – as reported by the Guardian.
It seems, though, that he is being lined up for a summer move to the club as he remains part of the set-up.
Diarra has been a free agent since August 2014, when he was released by Lokomotiv Moscow, and Sam Allardyce obviously felt he would bring an injection of quality to the Boleyn Ground.
Diarra is a combative midfielder whose energy allows him to drive his team forward. He also has Premier League experience having represented Chelea, Arsenal and Portsmouth earlier in his career.
The concern will be his match-sharpness, considering he has not played in such a lengthy period of time.
However, it shouldn't take him long to adjust to playing with his West Ham teammates if he does officially sign, due to the length of time he has been working with them.
If Diarra does join the Hammers this summer, he will bolster their midfield options and join the likes of Mark Noble, Kevin Nolan and Cheikhou Kouyate in competing for a spot in the centre of the park next season.
