Everton star Kevin Mirallas has explained in the Daily Post what amazes him about the club’s support base.
“It is amazing. Whether we play home or away, all the time it is full. When we played in Wolfsburg and in Lille, even in Krasnodar, the fans came,” said Mirallas.
“It’s great for the team, because sometimes when you play away it can be difficult. But when we play away with Everton there are always a lot of fans there and that helps.”
The next chapter of Everton’s European adventure this season starts tomorrow with their home game against Dynamo Kiev.
Everton will need their fans to be as vocal as possible at Goodison Park, as the side stands a better chance of doing well if their opponents start the game on the back foot.
Everton have struggled in the Premier League this season and this is a great chance for them to forget about the pressure of the domestic action and focus on building an advantage ahead of the second match.
Manager Roberto Martinez may make a couple of team changes and it’s a chance for anyone coming into the team to impress him and improve their chances of more regular game time over the rest of the season.
A positive performance tomorrow could have beneficial knock on effects for the side looking ahead to the important home league game against Newcastle this weekend.
