A round up of news stories this morning related to Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho has been quoted by the Daily Mail suggesting that he never would have sold Nemanja Matic in the first place.
The Blues re-signed the Serbian midfielder in a big money deal from Benfica, which Mourinho has branded brave.
He’s gone on to be one of the club’s best players across all competitions throughout this season.
“Chelsea were brave by bringing him back - If I was here, a left-footed player, 1.95 metres tall, would never, never, never leave. Never,” said the boss.
Mourinho has also been quoted by the Irish Examiner suggesting that PSG are an extremely aggressive side.
Chelsea go into the second leg of their Champions League game against the French side looking for a win and progression through to the next round.
The boss has suggested that PSG dominate in various aspects, with a physical approach to stopping players one.
“If dominate is to stop the opponent to play, making foul after foul, yes they also dominate,” he said.
The Metro has reported that Chelsea have made an offer to sign Douglas Costa from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The paper claims that the Blues have been following the player for the last year-and-a-half as they plan a deal.
The paper also claims that Shakhtar want a fee in the region of £22 million to make the deal happen.
