Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen has been quoted by VideoCelts suggesting what he feels is his biggest strength.
Johansen has become a vital part of the Bhoys attack under Ronny Deila and he’ll be an important player if the side are to secure multiple pieces of silverware over the course of this season.
“There’s lot of fitness required but you can see it working. Do I get tired? Often! You have to be smart about it but that is one of my strengths,” he said.
“I have always put a lot of energy into the games and I just want to help the team if the gaffer wants you to do press.”
One of the qualities Deila seems to have worked to develop intensely since he joined the club, is the fitness of his players.
He demands the maximum amount of effort from all of his players and the second leg of the Europa League game against Inter Milan showed the benefits of the fitness policy he’s developed at the club.
Johansen is spot on to suggest that he and his teammates need to be clever about the amount of effort they put into games and the way they manage their fitness.
While Deila will want his players to show him a good level of effort and commitment during games, he will also want them to manage themselves effectively from one game to the next.
Johansen would be no good for Deila if he wasn’t able to recover effectively after putting intense effort into a game.
Getting the balance right and staying effective should ensure he has the chance to feature in every big game for the club over the rest of the season.
