Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Spurs linked with exciting move for Lavezzi

Lavezzi

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

French source Le10Sport claims Tottenham have made contact with the representatives of PSG attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Lavezzi has been tipped to leave the French giants with the French source claiming that he’s already made his mind up over a move.

However, the source has also cast doubt over the deal, with his wages thought to be a main stumbling block to any deal.

The Daily Mirror continues to link Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Saints defender Toby Alderweireld.

The centre back is currently on loan with the south coast club from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

The paper claims Atletico could negate the clause which suggests Southampton will have the chance to make the deal a permanent one.

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen has been quoted by the Hackney Gazette making a prediction over teammate Harry Kane.

Kane is being tipped to feature in the England under-21 side for the under-21 European Championship this summer.

However, Mauricio Pochettino wants him to have some extra rest, and Vertonghen says Kane faces a difficult choice.

“It’s his call and I know a player always wants to be play, but sometimes you have to be careful. It’s difficult to judge,” said the Belgian.
