Tottenham Hotspur fans react with split views on Twitter to Di Maria suspension

Angel Di Maria for Argentina against Brazil

Angel di Maria will miss Manchester United's match with Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Manchester United suffered a dispiriting FA Cup elimination at home to Arsenal on Monday night, and there is little time for them to feel sorry for themselves.

The Red Devils face a crucial run of fixtures in the Premier League as the race for the top four hots up, beginning with the visit of Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino's side will visit Old Trafford confident of getting a result having seen their North London rivals win 2-1, and breaking their own hoodoo at the stadium a couple of seasons ago under Andre Villas-Boas' management.

They will face a United side this weekend who will also be without their record signing, Argentine international Angel di Maria.

The World Cup star was sent off for two bookable offences during the game, and is suspended for the Tottenham match.

Di Maria provided an assist for Wayne Rooney to score during the loss last night, creating three chances before he was substituted, but Spurs fans are not convinced his absence will be a considerable advantage.

The winger has not been in good form lately, with just three assists and no goals in his last 11 games, fading after a promising start last Autumn.

United are also without injured striker Robin van Persie, and the suspended Jonny Evans.

Here is a look at the reaction from Tottenham fans...
