According to a report from MKWeb.co.uk, recent Tottenham Hotspur signing Dele Alli could return to MK Don’s match-day squad sooner than previously expected.
The 18-year-old midfielder agreed a move to Spurs in the January transfer window, but he will remain on loan at the League One side until the end of the current campaign.
Alli was ruled out for around six weeks following a scan on an ankle injury at the end of February.
The news came as a huge blow for a side pushing hard for promotion, with the recent Tottenham signing already scoring 14 goals and providing five assists this season.
But the latest report suggests Alli could be back sooner than first thought, with the youngster allegedly saying on Saturday that he could be back in just a fortnight.
That would shave a full two weeks off his expected time out of the side and would give MK Dons a huge boost for the run-in.
Tottenham signed Alli at the end of the January transfer window for a reported £5million.
He is extremely highly-rated and penned a five-and-a-half year deal at White Hart Lane.
