Arsenal have a great chance of retaining the FA Cup after a superb win against Manchester United last night.
Arsene Wenger got his team selection spot on and was also more animated and visible on the side of the pitch, correcting the things he didn’t like as the match unfolded.
One of the main criticisms of Wenger as Arsenal slipped to a heavy defeat against Monaco in the Champions League, was that he appeared to just sit and watch the defeat happening, without stepping out on the touchline to correct things.
He seems to have learned his lesson, which shouldn’t be a major surprise considering his experience and the fact the FA Cup is now Arsenal’s most realistic possible piece of silverware for this season.
The effect of having Wenger right on the pulse, correcting issues immediately is that Arsenal’s players sharpen up and the side becomes very difficult to break down.
Arsenal now need to work on their consistency away from home. They have shown that they can perform at difficult away grounds with the win last night and a great win against Manchester City earlier in the season.
Hopefully they can use those results as motivation in all games before heading off to Wembley for the semi-final.
