The Frechman has informed fans he has returned to training.
The French midfielder has been missing for Newcastle’s last three games after picking up a knee injury, with his side sorely missing his presence as a result.
John Carver’s side had hoped that they would have their attacking midfielder back for their last game against Manchester United, but it wasn’t be as his side ended up being defeated 1-0 courtesy of Ashley Young’s late goal.
Now though, the player has confirmed to a fan on Twitter that he has returned to training on Monday.
“Yes today,’ tweeted the Frenchman, in response to a fan asking whether he had returned to training yet.
It will come as good news to Newcastle fans as their side have sorely missed arguably one of their more creative players, suffering defeats to Manchester City and Manchester United in his absence, although they did see off Aston Villa without him.
