Manchester City media round-up: Mancini makes prediction over Yaya Toure

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester City.

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has been quoted by Goal suggesting Inter Milan is the only Italian club Yaya Toure would join.

Toure is arguably City’s best player though he’s struggled to rediscover his best form after arriving back at the club after the African Cup of Nations.

Mancini has also confirmed that he tried to sign ex-defender Micah Richards during the January transfer window.

“If Yaya Toure comes to Italy, it will be only to join Inter. I tried to bring Micah Richards here in January,” said the Italian.

Wilfried Bony has been quoted by the Daily Express, suggesting what he needs to do to become a success at the club.

The Manchester City striker has struggled to produce his best form since a winter move from Swansea.

There is pressure on him considering the massive £28 million fee City paid to make the deal happen.

“This is a great move for me but I need to work hard, take my chances when they come along and it will get easier,” said Bony.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Manchester City linked defender Aaron Cresswell could be offered a new contract by West Ham.

The defender hasn’t even seen out one season in West Ham colours, but his impact has been so impressive, the Hammers want to renegotiate his deal according to the paper.

The paper claims City are hoping to move on Gael Clichy which would make room in their squad.
