Leeds United's under-21 side put in a brilliant performance in their latest fixture.
Some of Leeds United’s young guns have tweeted in response to the club’s under-21s winning 5-0 against Huddersfield Town on Monday.
Five different players got on the score-sheet, in the form of Dario Del Fabro, Brian Montenegro, Chris Dawson, Kalvin Phillips and Ross Killock and it was a performance likely to have got first-team manager Neil Redfearn’s attention.
He has already shown he is not afraid to blood young talent when they are deemed ready, and he has been rewarded with some excellent performances and a fine start to 2015 with Leeds having seven wins on the board since the turn of the year.
Dawson – who is the player many feel should be given more first-team chances for Leeds – took to Twitter following his goal-scoring contribution to write the following:
“Another great performance from the lads today, getting better and better. Good to get on score-sheet as well.”
Tyler Denton, who also started the match, wrote, “Boys were different class today, everyone involved. Nice to come away with a 5-0 win.”
Goalkeeper Eric Grimes also had his say, celebrating the fact that he kept a clean-sheet while watching his teammates do the business at the opposite end of the pitch.
