Aston Villa's Fabian Delph has been named in Italian paper La Gazzetta dello Sport's European Team of the Week.
The midfielder was in fine form for Villa as they beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 to book their place in the FA Cup semi-final and his performance has attracted worldwide attention.
Delph scored Villa's first goal of the contest and his energy and application was particularly notable throughout the match.
The England international was a constant threat, with his main qualities coming to the fore in a highly charged Midlands derby.
It is good news for Villa that Delph should be earning widespread recognition for his performances too, as it shows how much he has improved under the guidance of Tim Sherwood already.
Delph was being criticised by Villa fans for letting his standards slip towards the back end of Paul Lambert's time in charge, but he appears to have raised his game again.
The 25-year-old will now be hoping to maintain his form, as he looks to help guide Villa towards safety.
The Villans are currently just outside the relegation zone and they will need all their top players to reach their optimum performance levels if they are to retain their Premier League status.
