A round up of news stories this morning related to Arsenal.
Welbeck scored the vital goal of the game as Arsenal saw off Manchester United to win the massive FA Cup game 2-1.
It was Welbeck’s first goal against his former side since he left for the Emirates Stadium last summer.
“He focused just on his game and didn't do anything special, just played football like you want him to play,” said Wenger.
The man himself told the Arsenal website that it was difficult to keep his cool because of the reception he got.
Welbeck has also said the key for him playing against his childhood club was to retain his professionalism.
The Gunners will now meet either Bradford or Reading as they aim for a place in the final and the chance to retain their trophy.
“It was a great reception. It was hard for me but I tried to be respectful – I stayed professional,” he said.
The Daily Mail has reported that Arsenal have put a £10 million price tag on the head of defender Carl Jenkinson.
The right-back has been playing on loan at West Ham United, since the Gunners signed Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United.
West Ham’s co-chairman David Gold has already suggested that the Hammers have moved to tie him down on a permanent deal.
