Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Manager says Spurs youngster can 'dominate' at the club

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton has been quoted by the Daily Mirror making a positive prediction over Tottenham owned Alex Pritchard.

The midfielder has been playing on loan for the Bees in the Championship and has made a positive impression so far this season.

Warburton has implied that Pritchard is a complete player and expects him to step up in the near future.

“He can dominate a football - I think he is more than good enough to go and positively impact their (Tottenham’s) playing squad,” he said.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted by the Daily Telegraph praising the mental strength of his team.

Spurs secured a 2-1 win against QPR in the only Premier League game over the weekend to maintain their position in the race for the top four.

Striker Harry Kane scored both goals to take his tally for this season onto 26 goals across all competitions.

“I think we’ve proved the team has a strong mentality. In a mental state, we are much better now. The team has improved,” said the boss.

Pochettino has also been quoted by the Mirror confirming that his sons sing songs about striker Kane.

Kane’s chant among Tottenham supporters is popular because of his upbringing through the youth ranks of the side.

The boss has confirmed that his family had the chance to sit in the executive box for the game against QPR, but preferred to sit singing with fans.

“They know the Harry Kane song! They had the chance to go to the executive box or be in a better area, but they prefer to sing the songs with the fans,” he said.
