Sunderland face a problem this weekend when they take on Aston Villa, due to their lack of options in the full-back department.
Sunderland have had to try out a range of different players at full-back this season, with Gus Poyet's squad lacking quality in these positions.
Against Villa that could be a worry, as the Claret and Blues possess so much pace down either flank.
The likes of Charles N'Zogbia, Scott Sinclair and Andreas Weimann are all blessed with a lot of speed and that could expose a weakness in Sunderland's game.
Gus Poyet has two choices which could make up his full-back combinations against Villa.
The Uruguayan boss could pick Santiago Vergini and Anthony Reveillere and pack the defence, but both of the pair are rather sluggish and that would be a worry against Villa.
If the Claret and Blues were able to get behind the Sunderland defence, both Vergini and Reveillere are unlikely to have the pace required to get back.
Poyet's other option, which could be used to combat this threat, is to pick Patrick van Aanholt but even that throws up its own problems.
Van Aanholt is one of Sunderland's quickest players, but he has struggled defensively this season and the Black Cats look less secure with him in their team.
It means that Poyet faces a tough dilemma ahead of the weekend, but he will need to ensure that he gets it right as it is a huge match for both sides.
Sunderland and Villa are both fighting against the drop and whoever is able to take the three points from this fixture would take a massive step towards safety.
