Former Celtic star Chris Sutton has told the Daily Record he has no idea about what’s going on in John Guidetti’s head.
Guidetti recently suggested that he would be keen on heading back to the Netherlands this summer, when his loan deal with the Bhoys expires.
Sutton feels that’s a show of disrespect from the player towards his current loan club, who he should be working hard for until he gets the chance to move on this summer.
“I have no idea what is going on in Guidetti’s head but from what I have seen and read he seems to be a confident boy,” wrote Sutton.
“He should remember where he was before the start of the season and the opportunity he has been given.”
Guidetti is one of the biggest enigmas currently in Scottish football.
He has the talent to become a very prolific player for the Bhoys and plenty of quality, which is why Celtic took a punt on him to sign him from Manchester City.
However, he seems to have a habit of shooting himself in the foot and taking for granted many things, which a lot of players work very hard for.
He’s struggling to get game time, which is no surprise considering the hard work and team spirit messages, which Ronny Deila is always stressing to his Celtic players.
There is time for him to still have an impact with the club before the end of this season, but it’s difficult to see him getting a contract offer from the Bhoys if his attitude and the things he’s saying in the media don’t change.
