Report: West Ham and Sunderland interested in signing La Liga wonderkid on loan

West Ham United and Sunderland are both reportedly interested in signing Barcelona's Munir El Haddadi, but they may face competition from Everton.

West Ham United and Sunderland are hopeful of signing Barcelona winger Munir El Haddadi, according to a report in the Daily Star.

Munir is apparently being lined up for a loan move by Barca next season, with the Catalan giants keen on helping him gain first-team experience, and West Ham and Sunderland are both said to be tracking his progress.

The 19-year-old started this season in Barca's first-team, but he has fallen out of contention since Luis Suarez became available for selection.

There are still high hopes for his future at the Nou Camp, though, and he would make quite a coup if either of the Premier League duo were able to sign him.

They are not the only sides from England who are believed to be interested in capturing the winger, though, as Everton also harbour ambitions of landing the youngster, according to the report.

The Toffees have a good relationship with Barcelona and they apparently feel that they could use it to good effect once again next summer.

Impact for Sunderland?

Sunderland have lacked an attacking edge this season so having someone of Munir's quality would be a major positive.

The La Masia academy graduate would bring flair and creativity to their team and he looks the sort of addition needed to push Sunderland on to the next level.

Impact for West Ham?

Munir's addition at West Ham would be a further indication of Sam Allardyce's intention to adopt a more aesthetically pleasing approach at the club.

West Ham have made some progress with making their football slightly more entertaining this season and Munir's arrival would help them become even more attacking.
