When Manchester United and Arsenal last played in the FA Cup, it was the day of the Da Silva twins.

Manchester United host Arsenal in an FA Cup quarter-final this Monday night, hoping for a repeat of a game almost exactly four years earlier.

On March 12, 2011, United won 2-0 over the Gunners, with a makeshift midfield which makes you wonder just how they did it.

Sir Alex Ferguson picked a quartet of Rafael da Silva, Fabio da Silva, Darron Gibson, and John O'Shea, and yet still emerged victors.

That's three defenders played in midfield, with full-backs the da Silva's on the wings, and of the four players, only Rafael remains at the club.

The Brazilians played a key role in the win, looking lively throughout, with Rafael crossing for twin brother Fabio, now of Championship side Cardiff City, to steer home past Manuel Almunia.

Wayne Rooney scored United's second in the win, which saw Paul Scholes clash with Marouane Chamakh, Samir Nasri and Jack Wilshere late on after coming on as a substitute.

Arsenal's team featured Andrei Arshavin, Abou Diaby, Denilson, Johan Djourou and Robin van Persie up front.

Here is a selection of images from the match...
