Tottenham Hotspur-owned Dele Alli seems to be friends with former Arsenal and current Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has described Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe as a “goal machine” on social networking site Twitter.

Afobe has been in impressive form so far this season and has scored 26 goals in all competitions.

The 22-year-old featured on loan from Arsenal for League One outfit Milton Keynes Dons in the first half of the 2014-15 campaign, and moved to Wolves on a permanent contract in the January transfer window.

The former Arsenal prospect has scored seven goals and created six chances in 11 Championship appearances for Wolves, while having a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 81%.

One of those goals came against Watford at Molineux in the 2-2 draw on Saturday, as Kenny Jackett’s side maintained their chances of making the playoffs.

Afobe was Alli’s teammate at MK Dons earlier this season, and it seems that the two players have maintained their friendship.

On Sunday evening, Alli posted the following photo on Twitter and described the Wolves youngster in glowing terms.

Alli himself is rated as a very promising youngster and was snapped up by Tottenham in the January transfer window.

The 18-year-old was loaned back to MK Dons for the rest of the season, and he is expected to break into the Spurs first team in 2015-16.
