One of Celtic's key men has been speaking ahead of the Scottish League Cup final against Dundee United.
Celtic skipper Scott Brown has explained what will help his side’s style of play when they face Dundee United in the final of the Scottish League Cup this weekend.
The two sides drew 1-1 in the Scottish Cup on Sunday but as well as a replay in that competition they will also go head-to-head in the first showpiece event of the campaign.
Brown has been speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of that encounter, with his comments later published on the club’s official Twitter account.
Speaking about who may take to the field for Celtic on Sunday, Brown said, “We always want to play the strongest side possible, to show how good we are.”
He then explained what he hopes will help his side turn on the style, adding, “The pitch at Hampden (Park) will help our style of play.”
Celtic are getting ever closer to a famous treble but that does not mean it is not still some way off, with Brown, his teammates and manager Ronny Deila all well aware how hard such a feat is to achieve.
A win on Sunday will be a wonderful start, but Dundee United will have their own eyes on the prize and until the final whistle blows anything can happen, as we saw in their last encounter.
