Bradford fans react on Twitter after Sunderland recall Pickford

Bradford City supporters have been impressed by Sunderland youngster Jordan Pickford's performances this season.

Bradford City supporters have been left disappointed after Sunderland opted to recall Jordan Pickford from his loan spell at Valley Parade today.

Pickford has reached an age where the move is no longer is classed as a youth-loan and Sunderland decided against letting him stay with Bradford any longer.

This is largely down to the fact that they would have to wait 28 days if they wanted to recall Pickford from now on, and Gus Poyet was clearly not willing to take any risks.

Although the 21-year-old goalkeeper is not likely to break into Sunderland's team this season, they could have been short of cover if either Vito Mannone or Costel Pantilimon got injured and Poyet's decision was obviously made with this in mind.

Despite the logic behind Sunderland's decision it has still frustrated Bradford supporters who have seen Pickford become one of their standout performers this season.

The youngster has been a virtual ever-present in goal since arriving at the club and his displays suggest he has a very bright future.

An excellent shot-stopper, who is also a commanding presence, Pickford already looks too good for League One and his departure has been met with widespread disappointment.

Here is the best reaction from Bradford supporters on social media site Twitter.
