Leeds United youngster Alex Mowatt has once again been named in the Football League Team of the Week.

Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt is in great form right now, and has been rewarded with a place in the Football League Team of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks.

Neil Redfearn's side notched their seventh win in the last ten games on Saturday, defeating Wigan Athletic 1-0 at the DW Stadium.

Mowatt scored the winner on Saturday, sending a right footed volley into the net in the second half to cap off a fine couple of weeks for the 20-year-old.

That goal against Wigan was his fourth in the last six games, and the academy product has become the driving force of the Leeds side in recent weeks.

Just days after scoring a free kick against Ipswich Town, Mowatt has now been named in the official Football League Team of the Week.

With two goals in the last seven days, it's no surprise to see Mowatt named in the Team of the Week, but that's now the second time in the last three weeks that Mowatt has been featured in the side.

Now with eight goals and one assist to his name this season, it's been a superb campaign for Mowatt - and whilst the accolades and recognition are great to see, Leeds just have to hope that they can keep hold of him for some time yet amid speculation that West Ham United are interested in signing him this summer.
