Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford played out a 2-2 draw at Molineux in the Championship on Saturday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers played out a 2-2 draw with Watford at home in the Championship on Saturday.

Kenny Jackett’s side headed into the clash on the back of a 2-1 defeat to promotion-chasing Bournemouth away from home.

Saturday’s game at Molineux was expected to be tight and closely fought, but it proved to be quite an open match.

Benik Afobe continued his great run of form when he opened the scoring as early as the 14th minute.

It was the 22-year-old former Arsenal striker’s seventh goal in 11 Championship appearances for Wolves.

Matej Vydra made it 1-1 on the half-hour mark, but Jack Price restored the home side’s advantage just five minutes into the second half.

The match eventually ended in a 2-2 draw as Troy Deeney scored the game’s fourth goal midway through the second half.

Both Wolves and Watford had a player sent off in injury time. While Tommie Hoban was shown a second yellow card for the visitors, the home team's Bakary Sako was given a straight red after raising his hand to Fernando Forestieri.

Following the match, Wolves players took to social networking site Twitter to have their say, while Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere hailed Afobe.
