Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason has been speaking to the club’s official website following their 2-1 victory against Queens Park Rangers this weekend.
The 23-year-old was superb for Mauricio Pochettino’s side on Saturday, playing a vital role in the victory that keeps Tottenham’s hopes of a top-four finish very much alive.
Tottenham’s young side has impressed more often than not this season, and Mason’s latest comments suggest the future is very bright at White Hart Lane.
“We had to battle and everyone put their foot in when they needed to,” Mason said. “It’s positive to see this young side do that.
“As a team we worked hard for each other and put our bodies on the line to get the result.”
While Tottenham’s next generation have been hailed for their talent it is clear they also have an outstanding work ethic, and that desire to fight for each other is to be commended.
They are comments every Tottenham fan will be happy to hear, and whatever the rest of this season brings, there is no doubt that if Pochettino can develop his squad smartly a sustained period of success could be just around the corner.
With talent, passion and a work ethic to be admired, Tottenham may be on the verge of greatness once more.
