Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Grant Ward has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Tim Sherwood on guiding Aston Villa to semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Sherwood won his second successive game as the Villa manager on Saturday, when his team defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at home in the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition.
Fabian Delph broke the deadlock at Villa Park six minutes into the second half, and with five minutes of normal time left, Scott Sinclair score the home team’s second goal of the encounter.
Both Villa and West Brom ended up with 10 men each, but it is Sherwood’s team who are going to Wembley to play the semi-finals.
Ward was following the match, and he was delighted to see former Spurs boss Sherwood achieve success in the FA Cup with Villa and posted the following message on Twitter:

Tottenham themselves won on Saturday, defeating Queens Park Rangers in the London derby at Loftus Road 2-1.
England Under-21 international striker Harry Kane scored both the goals for Spurs, who are now sixth in the Premier League table with 50 points from 28 matches, just three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
