According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are 'confident' of signing Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this summer.
It may be a different story in Europe considering their 3-1 home defeat to Monaco, but if a top four place is secured once again, manager Arsene Wenger will be looking to strengthen his side in the summer transfer window.
The last two summer windows have seen Wenger splash out on big name signings in Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez from Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively, and the Daily Mail believe he is set to get the chequebook out again to sign Schneiderlin.
The French international midfielder, 25, has been one of Southampton's most consistent performers since their promotion to the Premier League back in 2012, and his superb displays on the South Coast have him considered to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
That should be of interest to Arsenal, who still need to sign a top defensive midfield player despite the emergence of Francis Coquelin in that holding role this season.
The Daily Mail report that Schneiderlin wants a move to the Emirates Stadium to join compatriots Coquelin, Mathieu Debuchy, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud – with the latter three familiar with Schneiderlin from international duty.
With Southampton's Champions League push suffering a minor wobble in recent weeks, Schneiderlin could look to leave this summer - and the Daily Mail believe that Arsenal are now 'confident' of bringing Schneiderlin to North London at the end of the season.
