Nottingham Forest players react on Twitter to 2-1 win over Middlesbrough

Nottingham Forest beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at the City Ground on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest recorded yet another victory under new manager Dougie Freedman on Saturday, defeating Middlesbrough 2-1 at the City Ground.

Freedman's reign has got off to a stunning start, and has now won six of his eight games in charge - losing one and drawing one as well.

On Saturday, Forest needed to bounce back from their first defeat under Freedman, having lost to Charlton Athletic in midweek - and they did just that with a victory over Middlesbrough.

Promotion-chasing Boro took the lead in the first half through Grant Leadbitter, but Forest responded with an equaliser from Gary Gardner.

Forest then won it in the second half, with Dexter Blackstock slamming a finish into the top corner to claim all three points for Freedman's side.

Now sitting nine points off a play-off place, optimism is high at the City Ground right now - and players took to Twitter after the game to celebrate.

Goalscorers Gardner and Blackstock both sent messages to fans, whilst Henri Lansbury, injured striker Britt Assombalonga and even owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi also celebrated the win.
