Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson 'tracked’ by Barcelona - Spanish media

Sport claim that the England international is on the Catalan giants’ radar.

Jordan Henderson has been in sublime form for Liverpool in recent months, with the box-to-box midfielder playing a key role in the Merseyside outfit’s rise up the Premier League table.

This form has not gone unnoticed on the continent however, with Sport today claiming that Barcelona are tracking the England international.

Although under a transfer embargo currently, the report claims that the Camp Nou outfit are well aware of Henderson’s contract situation and its 2016 expiry.

It also claims that Luis Enrique’s men are keeping a close eye on the former Sunderland man with an eye to raid the Anfield outfit again after signing Luis Suarez from Brendan Rodgers’ side in the summer.

Henderson has been captaining the Reds in Steven Gerrard’s recent absence and is widely touted as the player that will be charged with replacing the Kop hero when he leaves this summer.

However, with his current deal expiring in just over a year, the Liverpool faithful will implore the club to tie their key midfielder down to a new contract to stave off interest from the likes of Barcelona.
