The right winger has been starring for Espanyol on loan this season, with the Reds weighing up a move to bring him to Anfield.
The Anfield outfit have had mixed fortunes in signing Spanish players over the years, with the successes of Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso and most recent Alberto Moreno being offset by the likes of Iago Aspas.
Vazquez is an out-and-out right winger that has been starring on loan for Espanyol this season.
He has been praised in the Spanish press for his exceptional crossing and offered up four assists for team-mates this term and scoring himself twice.
While under Madrid ownership, the chances of Vazquez returning to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and getting regular action initially look slight.
With Gareth Bale currently inhabiting the role on the right-hand side of Carlo Ancelotti’s 4-3-3 system and not much scope for crosses in the Madrid style of play, the winger could well be surplus to requirements.
Vazquez is a hard-working player and as such could well be an option for Liverpool at right wing-back; at £7 million he looks like an excellent option for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
