Leeds fans react on Twitter to Jason Pearce's performance for Wigan

Elland Road Revie Stand

Wigan Athletic lost 1-0 to Leeds United on Saturday, but what did fans think of defender Jason Pearce's contribution?

Wigan Athletic defender Jason Pearce came up against some very familiar faces on Saturday, as his former club Leeds United came to town.

The centre-back made 113 appearances for Leeds prior to his January move to the Latics, with the former Whites skipper playing six matches so far for his new club.

Pearce had enjoyed three wins in his first five matches at Wigan, but he could not prevent his former team from taking all three points back to Elland Road.

Leeds won courtesy of a goal from Alex Mowatt, the midfielder who is becoming a scoring hero for Neil Redfearn’s side.

Pearce will have seen this crop of Leeds youngsters grow up at the club but despite his knowledge of them he could only watch on as Mowatt scored what proved to be the winner.

After the match, we took to Twitter to see what fans of both Wigan and Leeds thought of Pearce’s performance, but it was supporters of the latter who had opted to have their say – somewhat unsurprisingly – on social media.
