Aston Villa booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-0

Aston Villa made it two wins in a row under new manager Tim Sherwood - and both have come against West Bromwich Albion in the space of just four days.

After Christian Benteke's dramatic injury time penalty earned Villa all three points against the Baggies on Tuesday night, the two sides met again - this time in the FA Cup.

Following a fairly poor first half, Villa took the lead thanks to Fabian Delph's left footed drive from the edge of the box, sending Villa Park into raptures.

Villa then booked their place at Wembley for the semi-finals when Scott Sinclair raced away down the left hand side before cutting infield to curl the ball past Boaz Myhill and into the corner.

It's been a drab season for Villa, and fans let their frustrations out at full time, invading the pitch to celebrate alongside their players.

The actions of their supporters have been condemned by many, but the win gave Villa fans a rare chance to celebrate this season amid their battle against relegation.

Here are some of the best photos from the game - including that pitch invasion which has hit the headline over the last 24 hours.
