This is how Dundee United and Celtic will line up for this afternoon’s Scottish Cup quarter-final tie at Tannadice Park…

Celtic will be looking to book their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup with victory over Dundee United away from home this afternoon.

The Bhoys will head into the quarter-final tie on the back of a 1-0 defeat to St. Johnstone at Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

The loss came as a shock and was Celtic’s first in nine games in the league, sparking hopes that second-placed Aberdeen would be able to catch them in the final weeks of the season.

However, Celtic have a very strong squad and have a winning mentality under manager Ronny Deila, who will be determined to guide the team to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup today.

United also lost at home in their last Premiership game, going down 2-0 to Partick Thistle at home.

Playing in front of a strong crowd at Tannadice Park will give Jackie McNamara’s side an advantage, which they will be looking to make the most of.

It promises to be an exciting game in Dundee, and this is how United and Celtic will line up for the quarter-final tie:

Dundee United XI: Cierzniak, McGowan, Dillon, Fojut, Dixon, Paton, Butcher, Rankin, Dow, Connolly, Ciftci

Subs: Szromnik, Souttar, Telfer, Spittal, Bilate, Erskine, Anier

Celtic XI: Gordon; Ambrose, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton, Forrest, Johansen, Stokes; Griffiths

Subs: Zaluska, Wakaso, McGregor, Henderson, Guidetti, Scepovic, Fisher
