Chelsea misfit Mohamed Salah expresses his joy at scoring v Tottenham Hotspur

The Egyptian has been in great form for Fiorentina.

Tottenham were recently dumped out of the Europa League by Italian outfit Fiorentina. After drawing 1-1 at White Hart Lane, Spurs dominated possession in the second leg in Florence. However, the Italian side played a fantastic counter-attacking game and ended up snatching two goals for a 2-0 win.

One player who scored in that game was Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah. He headed to La Viola as part of the deal which saw Juan Cuadrado head in the other direction.

He never really cut it at Chelsea, but has been a real hit in Florence. After his brace against Juventus in the Coppa Italia this week he has moved to six goals in seven games since joining the club.

Now he has been discussing his recent form, including the goal against Spurs. He is quoted by Calcio News 24 as saying:

"It was great to score against Tottenham, I like to play against English teams because I always score."

He certainly does love playing against English sides, even if it didn't work out for him in the Premier League. Whilst at FC Basel he scored a total of four goals against English opposition, three v Chelsea and one against Tottenham, by coincidence.

Now he is proving to be a hero in Fiorentina and if he makes the move permanent, you can be sure he would love the chance to face Chelsea in the future.
