Liverpool have a number of talented young players at the club, with Jordon Ibe the latest to excel for the senior side. But there are plenty of others waiting in the wings; one of whom is 17-year-old Sheyi Ojo.
The left winger is yet to make an appearance for Liverpool’s first-team, but he is clearly embracing his loan spell at Championship side Wigan Athletic.
Ojo was making his seventh appearance for the Latics in their match against Leeds United on Saturday.
The match did not go Wigan’s way, with Alex Mowatt scoring the only goal of the game to ensure Leeds headed back to Elland Road with all three points. But the Liverpool loanee did his best to change that.

There are clearly areas for the player to work on, not least his passing accuracy which was just 64 per cent on Saturday, but Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who was in attendance, would have been pleased with what he saw.
Ojo went on 10 dribbles, constantly causing problems for Leeds' back-line. They coped with him relatively well, but he never gave up, pushing forward time and again.
He also attempted seven crosses on the day, two of which were accurate, proving his tenacity, although he is likely to be working on finding his target more often in the weeks and months to come.
The Liverpool youngster also played three key passes to set up goal-scoring opportunities for a teammate. He also had an impressive four shots, although only one hit the target.
He also ensured he was not dispossessed all afternoon, and his innate talent and burgeoning confidence were clear to see.
In short, Liverpool may have yet another exciting winger on their hands. Certainly if he carries on in this vein.
