The Manchester United stopper has been in great form once again this season.
He told the paper:
"I must be somewhat humble, I'm there [in the Premier League] fighting with great goalkeepers.
"I think that right now, David De Gea is in a great moment, is proving in every game that is on another level. He has saved Manchester United in tough games, it has therefore come to light the importance of the goalie and that those saves are worth points."
Adrian, who has played 32 games for West Ham this season in what has been a mixed campaign regarding his form, is certainly looking up to De Gea when it comes to performance levels.
The Red Devils stopper has been sensational for Louis van Gaal's side this season. He has won man of the match awards on numerous occasions and is easily Manchester United's current player of the season.
Adrian was also talking about Bayern Munich stopper Manuel Neuer. The German was sensational in 2014, helping Germany win the World Cup and Bayern dominate German football.
The West Ham star has commented on his recent form, stating that he has changed the way in which goalkeepers play the current game:
"He has changed the style of goalkeepers.
"He's a keeper that comes out, he likes to play with his feet, plays outside the box quite often and is quite risky ... But a goalie has to make decisions and he does. He is a great goalkeeper."
Adrian is currently away with West Ham on a warm weather training camp in Dubai. But when he returns West Ham fans will certainly hope he emulates the standard of both De Gea and Neuer between their sticks.
