The Barcelona loanee has put in some excellent performances for Porto in recent times.
Liverpool were being heavily linked with a move for Barcelona star Cristian Tello in the summer, as reported by the Express, with the winger out-of-favour at Camp Nou.
However, the 23-year-old opted to head out to Porto on loan, spurning any potential opportunity to move to Merseyside.
The Spaniard started relatively slowly in Portugal, but has been an essential member of the Estadio do Dragao side in recent weeks.
Tello netted the strike to see Julen Lopetegui’s men record an important 1-0 victory over Braga last night.
This goal makes it four goals in two games for the Barcelona man, who also netted an impressive hat-trick for the Portuguese powerhouses in the local derby against Sporting Lisbon last week.
With opportunities in Luis Enrique’s attack limited due to the presence of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, Liverpool should monitor the flying winger’s performances closely, with there every chance that Tello could be available to buy this summer.
Barcelona also have the likes of Pedro and Rafinha as attacking options and as such, Tello's future appears to lie away from the Catalan club.
