Tottenham round-up: Early team news and Bentaleb on ‘important’ influence

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur take on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road in today’s one and only Premier League fixture.

During a weekend when a lot of eyes will be on the FA Cup action, these two sides will be focused solely on securing another vital three points, with QPR looking to climb out of the bottom three and Tottenham hoping to strengthen their cause for a European place.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino may decide to rotate his squad after fielding the same side for the last two matches.

As for QPR, Nedum Onuoha is a doubt after suffering a cut to his neck last week, while Mauricio Isla and Darnell Furlong are also injury concerns.

Joey Barton is definitely unavailable due to suspension.

In other news, Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has been speaking to the Sun about his time working under Chris Ramsey.

The Algerian international knows the QPR boss well from the latter’s time at White Hart Lane, and he said: “Chris was really important to a few of us at Tottenham.

“He always believed in us. He helped me a lot in the academy but I’m not going to say I wish him all the best as he is now an opponent.”
