Robbie Savage has written in The Mirror that Arsenal will get the better of Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Savage believes that North London outfit Arsenal will have just enough to progress to the semi-finals of the prestigious competition.
“Man United have lost only two of their last 22 games, and although they won without playing well, yet again, at Newcastle on Wednesday, a run like that can't all be down to luck,” the 40-year-old wrote in The Mirror.
“Van Gaal obviously knows what he is doing after all - even if United's football this season has been turgid more often than slick. It's a massive game for both managers, but I have a sneaking feeling the Gunners might nick it.”
Could Robbie Savage’s prediction come true?
Many will consider United as favourites, as they are at home, but Arsenal will certainly fancy their chances of winning at Old Trafford on Monday.
Arsene Wenger’s side will head into the tie on the back of a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers away from home in the Premier League.
It was the Gunners’ fourth win in a row in the league, and they are certainly a side in form and full of confidence.
United also won on Wednesday, getting the better of Newcastle United 1-0 at St. James’ Park, but their performance left much to be desired.
However, playing at home will give the Red Devils an advantage, and they will be relishing the prospect of knocking their fierce rivals out of the FA Cup.
